A TAMS machine Adapter obtains controller or signal data and supplies normalized observations to an MTConnect Agent. Downstream monitoring, analytics, and workflow tools consume the Agent stream. Shop-Connect monitors separately supplied MTConnect Agents; it is not an Adapter delivery option.
